    Julie Swatek is the President and Founder of Scrap Your Memories, Inc., home of www.ScrapYourTrip.com, the world’s largest supplier of travel and theme-specific scrapbook supplies. She founded the company in 2002 out of the spare bedroom in her house. Under her guidance, the company has grown to almost $3 million in revenue in 2009 and employs almost 30 associates. Scrap Your Trip was named to the 2009 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies as the 71st fastest-growing retailer and 1727th fastest-growing company overall and the 2010 Inc. 5000 list as the 69th fastest-growing retailer and 1370th fastest-growing company overall

    Prior to founding her company, Julie was the Financial Reporting/ Budgeting Manager for Crossroads Hospitality Company, a division of Interstate Hotels and Resorts. She credits her business background with giving her the financial know-how to successfully grow her company.

    Julie’s speaking career began in 2006 when she was invited to speak at the National Postal Forum with Postmaster General John Potter as the representative of small businesses. Because of her speaking engagement and the volume of packages she shipped, the United States Postal Service created a level of specialized packaging for her e-commerce company that they had previously only created for eBay.

    Since then, Julie has spoken at the 2008 Microsoft Small Business Summit, 2008 and 2010 Internet Retailer Conference, Keynote speaker at the 2008 Jacksonville Athena Power Link Program graduation ceremony, 2009 Stone Edge Order Manager User Group Conference.

    In 2006, Julie was also the first Florida participant in the Athena PowerLink Program, an advisory program designed to increase the growth and profitability of women-owned businesses. She currently sits on the Governing Body of the Central Florida Chapter and has participated in advisory panels for two women-owned businesses.

    Julie leads the Orlando Chapter of StomperNet Local, an internet-marketing mastermind group with 110 members. She is also a member of NAWBO, the National Association of Women Business Owners.

    Julie has gained recognition in media outlets such as Entrepreneur Magazine, Women in Business Entrepreneur Radio, The Orlando Sentinel, The Orlando Business Journal, The Orlando Times, Florida Trend Magazine, eMarketing and Commerce Magazine, Internet Retailer Magazine, Women in Business Magazine, Crafts N Things Magazine, Scrapbook Retailer Magazine and Creating Keepsakes Magazine.

    Julie resides in Orlando, Florida with her middle-school aged daughter and elementary- school aged son. Her daughter plans on continuing in Julie’s footsteps by becoming the fifth-generation entrepreneur.
